Design, often viewed as an individual pursuit, has a profound influence on society. The Mexico/US border, a unique intersection of divided landscapes exacerbated by politics, culture, urban policy, and climate change, is a testament to our shared history, values, and aspirations.
The Border Design Lab, in recognition of this distinctive setting, is devoted to exploring border design topics as catalysts for social and environmental change. These topics range from housing, urban development, architecture typologies, material technologies, cultural heritage, and civic interventions to community engagement.
